Donte “Chosen1” Lewis

Baseball has a way of testing talent, discipline, and identity, and Donte Lewis has embraced every challenge that comes with it. A native of Houston, Texas, Donte spent fourteen years as a quarterback before making the difficult decision to fully pursue baseball, a choice rooted in sacrifice, clarity, and belief in his future.

Now at Kansas State University, Donte has taken on the demanding role of a two-way player, bringing poise, discipline, and versatility to every part of the game. Whether on the mound, in the outfield, or at the plate, he competes with intensity and composure. During the summer of 2025, he hit .299 in the Appalachian League, proving his ability to perform against elite competition.

 

Grounded in faith and driven by discipline, Donte’s mindset extends beyond baseball. Alongside his brother DeJuan, he co-founded AgainsThaGrain Incorporated, a brand and movement built on resilience, brotherhood, and courage. As he continues to build toward professional opportunities, Donte Lewis represents more than just athletic talent. He represents purpose, perseverance, and the willingness to take the harder path to become something greater.
