DeJuan “Seatbelt” Lewis

DeJuan Lewis is a lockdown defensive back, disciplined competitor, and co-founder of AgainsThaGrain Incorporated. Built on faith, resilience, and a no-excuses mindset, he has earned his reputation by choosing the harder road and proving himself at every stage.

A Houston native, DeJuan grew up competing in both football and baseball at a high level, developing as a power-hitting centerfielder and elite defensive back. That dual-sport foundation sharpened his instincts, toughness, and work ethic early. In high school, he helped lead his team to a Texas 5A State Football Championship and finished runner-up for the Touchdown Club of Houston's Defensive Player of the Year award in 2022.

His college journey has been defined by resilience and production. From Prairie View A&M to Lamar University to the University of South Dakota, DeJuan has continued to rise, adapting to new systems, earning trust, and delivering results. At Lamar, he tied for first in the Southland Conference in interceptions. In South Dakota, he has continued to thrive on the field and in the classroom as a Dean’s List scholar.

Grounded in family, discipline, and purpose, DeJuan leads with consistency and conviction. Alongside his brother Donte, he co-founded AgainsThaGrain, a brand rooted in grit, resilience, and the courage to build a legacy through discipline.
